EDUCATOR – INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR 1991-present

-Teach, adjudicate and advise for schools, art organizations and individuals.

-Substitute teach for K-12 schools including Hualalai Academy and Innovations Public Charter School.

-Choreograph, direct and produce stage productions.


PHOTOGRAPHER – EMOTION GALLERIES 2008-present
-Provide artistic photography services including staging, photographing, archiving, website maintenance and developing marketing materials.

PHOTOGRAPHER – KONA WEDDINGS 2011-present
-Specializing as sunset photographer of over 80 wedding ceremonies, vow renewals, and receptions.
-Convert RAW files and edit images in Photoshop PS5.

RESCUE DIVER – KONA, HAWAII 2009-2011
-Provided services for multiple SCUBA, SNUBA and snorkel dive operators leading swims in the open ocean, assisting SCUBA divers, instructing SNUBA, crewing ocean vessels, shooting underwater photography/videography while serving as a rescue diver.

-Choreographed original works and restaged significant works in RKB contemporary choreographic repertory.

FESTIVAL COORDINATOR – AMERICAN COLLEGE DANCE FESTIVAL 2001-2003
-Organized 2 consecutive annual festivals attended by 750 participants from 28 university/college institutions

-Provided over 200 classes and presented 15 unique evening length concerts.

-Arranged 6 world-renowned industry professionals to adjudicate.

-Coordinated a 55-person volunteer staff in 9 facilities within the community.

-Facilitated communications with university dance departments throughout the nation.
INSTRUCTOR - UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA 2000-2003

-Taught over 2,000 students per year in courses such as dance performance, applied choreography, creative movement for youth, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, ballroom, aerobic weight control and wellness general education classes.

-Served as Artistic and Executive Director of the UNI Orchesis Dance Company.

-Produced and directed 28 concerts including the UNI Orchesis 75th Year Anniversary Dance Gala and Reunion.

-Lectured and presented informances throughout the country for workshops and art education programs.

-Evaluated and supervised student progress and individual studies.

-Published writings and research, as well as composed creative works.

-Founded the Movement Outlet Dance Company.

DIRECTOR- YOUNG PEOPLES' DANCE THEATRE 1998-2000

-Managed and taught 58 instructors to present creative movement programming in area elementary schools.

-Expanded the company to 6 times its original size, created mission/vision statements, designed the marketing plan, wrote lesson/unit plans and prepared grants.

-Refocused the company to a creative movement base.

PROJECT COORDINATOR- CAMP ADVENTURE WORLD SERVICES 1998-2000

-Developed recreational programming for US military dependents in Asia, Europe, South America and throughout the United States.

-Delivered program content on site in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Iowa and Hawaii.

-Trained and managed a staff of 150 students from various universities throughout the US, as well as civilian employees stationed on base.

-Budgeted and allocated funds for programming and operations.

-Enforced policies and procedures.

-Reported to the US Navy and US Air Force Youth Departments.

GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT- UNIVERSITY OF NORTHERN IOWA 1998-2000

-Taught 6 sections of Personal Wellness general education labs each semester.

DIVISION DIRECTOR- MARCHING AUXILIARIES OF AMERICA 1995-1998

-Traveled and delivered program content on site in 38 states across the country in large multi-day conference settings to over 7,000 young adults.

-Collaborated with a staff of 50 movement educators to perform, teach, adjudicate and manage various projects.

-Responsible for performances, programming, and safety procedures specific to each location.

-Arranged travel and living accommodations on a biweekly basis for the next site.

-Assisted with the Orange Bowl halftime spectacular.

-Provided paraprofessional advising for 50-65 undergraduate students each semester.

-Confronted, resolved and developed programs addressing issues on diversity, racism, alcohol/drug abuse, academic performance and social acceptance.
-Conducted safety rounds in order to assure security and enforcement of university policies.

-Managed administrative tasks, including program marketing, building access, maintenance requests, incident reports, facilities reports and managed the main office for a dormitory housing over 440 students.
